Mass cautions Inslee about his claims, points out that a heat wave or storm doesn't prove anything about climate change. "The hype and exaggeration is extraordinary", Mass says regarding Inslee's recent claims which included the comment that "the climate bomb has gone off". Mass says Inslee's hyperbolic comments are "distorting the science in a way that actually will make it more more difficult for us to adapt to the changes (to the planet) that will occur".
