The leftists have launched their official organized “resistance” against the Let’s Go Washington initiatives coming up on the November ballot.
Every single time Let’s Go Washington has run an initiative, the same thing happens. Signature gatherers are attacked. Signature gatherers are assaulted. Signature gatherers have their signs stolen, their tables vandalized, and their events disrupted.

This time, it got leveled up multiple notches.
Signature gatherers are out collecting for initiatives to keep boys out of girls’ sports, protect parental rights, and repeal the income tax. And once again, they’re being harassed, yelled at, and targeted.
If this were a left-wing initiative, you know exactly what would happen. Bob Ferguson, Nick Brown, Steve Hobbs, and Katie Wilson would hold a press conference and promise to bring the full resources of law enforcement down on the “MAGA extremists.”
But because these initiatives are supported by conservatives and parents, we get weak statements about how signature gathering is protected by law.
Now the opposition campaign is formally launching. The activists are calling it a stand against hate.
And who’s leading the charge?
Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal. King County Executive candidate Girmay Zahilay. Seattle City Councilmember Dionne Foster.
They’re headlining an event called “No Hate in Washington State,” a campaign specifically organized to defeat the parental rights and girls’ sports initiatives.
The people who want parents informed about what is happening with their children at school are being labeled hateful.
The people who believe girls’ sports should be for girls are being labeled hateful.
The people collecting signatures so voters can decide these questions themselves are being labeled hateful.
That’s the message coming from some of the most powerful Democrats in Washington.
The campaign’s organizers claim the parental rights initiative would somehow force schools to out students to abusive families. They claim the girls’ sports initiative would lead to invasive examinations and put children at risk.
We’ve heard these arguments before.
They’re designed to scare people because none of them are true.
Because if the debate is actually about whether parents should know what’s happening with their children at school, the left loses.
If the debate is actually about whether biological males should compete against girls, the left loses.
This isn’t just about initiatives.
This is about the political establishment realizing voters are starting to push back.
That’s why you’ve got members of Congress, county executives, city councilmembers, activist organizations, and progressive donors all lining up on the same side.
Because they’re afraid voters might actually agree with the initiatives.
Let’s start with parental rights.
Democrats claim this initiative would “out” kids to abusive families. That is a flat-out lie. There are already laws on the books to protect children who are actually being abused.
This is about whether a school can call your son Juniper behind your back when his name is Michael.
It is about whether a school can call your kid Tracy when his name is Tom without ever telling you.
It is about whether parents have a right to know what is happening with their own children in public schools.
Maybe, just maybe, parents should know what is in the curriculum.
Maybe, just maybe, parents should know if school officials are socially transitioning their kids behind their backs.
That is not hate.
That is parenting.
Then there’s the initiative to keep boys out of girls’ sports.
Opponents are already claiming it would require invasive exams. We knew they were going to say this. We predicted it months ago.
And it is nonsense.
Every kid already has to get cleared by a doctor before playing sports. That is not the gym teacher inspecting anybody in the locker room. That is not some coach checking kids before a game.
But they’re going to lie and say that’s what it means.
What about the girl who shows up to a basketball game and has to play against a biological male?
What about the girl who shows up to a wrestling match and sees a boy across from her?
What about the girls who say they don’t want boys in their locker rooms?
Why don’t their rights matter?
Why don’t their safety and privacy matter?
Washington’s left claims it wants every child to feel safe at school.
What about girls?
This is the part they never answer.
They say the initiatives target children.
No.
The initiatives protect children.
They protect girls’ sports.
They protect parental rights.
They protect families from a political class that thinks government knows better than parents.
And now the same activists who have spent years harassing signature gatherers are getting support from elected officials.
The same people who scream about threats to democracy are now trying to intimidate voters out of even putting questions on the ballot.
And the income tax initiative may be the biggest threat to them of all.
Washington Democrats just passed the largest tax increase in state history. They created a new income tax and called it a “millionaire’s tax.” But everybody knows how this works. It starts with millionaires, then it spreads.
That’s why they are fighting so hard.
Because if voters get a chance to repeal the income tax, the whole scheme is in danger.
The political left is playing the long game. They know an income tax could eventually be worth billions over time. So if they have to spend millions now to protect it, they will.
That’s why Let’s Go Washington needs support.

The war on the initiatives has started.
Now Washington voters need to fight back.
