Highway 410 Bridge Closure Hits Buckley and Enumclaw Businesses Hard

Mount Rainer Creamery

The closure of the Highway 410 bridge over the White River has left local businesses in Buckley and Enumclaw struggling to stay connected. On KVI’s Morning Ride, Mount Rainier Creamery co-owner Ryan Mensonides described how what was once a four-minute trip to move dairy products across the bridge has turned into a 60–90 minute detour, cutting sales in half.

Despite the setback, neighboring businesses like Reynolds Trading Post in Enumclaw have stepped up to help, offering storage space to keep products available for customers. Mensonides urged Puget Sound residents to support local shops and restaurants in both towns until the bridge reopens, which state officials now estimate will happen before Thanksgiving.
