I was recently doing a search on the old news clip of my kitty & found that you did a story on her. Let me review, about two years ago the humane society had a 4 week old kitten come in that had no eyes. Dr. Tim Gintz at Pacific Ave. Animal Hospital donated his services to remove her tear ducts & colse her eye lids. She was at the hospital for 1 month, due to an infection she had to overcome before surgery was safe...all I needed was to see her once and I fell in love with her! You see, I am a licensed veterinary technician working at the hospital. So, I adopted her. After her surgery and she was about ready to come home with me I insisted on taking some x-rays to make sure her infection was gone...we found another birth defect, she has scoliosis! Well, I took her home and I am happy to report that she is doing great! Her name is Nyx (after the god of night) and she lives happily with me, my fiance and she has a bother and sister (cats as well) that she gets along great with. She plays with toys, eats like a pig, get up and down off the 6 foot scratching post and moves around the house with no problems. I don't care if you decide to tell her story or not, I just thought that those who knew her of her story would like an update. She is my angel and happy to report that she is doing great & that she is a true inspiration; no matter any challenges given you in life, you can find a way to live through them.
