While snapping photos of the beautiful icicles and snow on the birdbath outside my studio door, I was amazed when a hummingbird zipped in to take a drink!

Apparently this little guy had decided to winter hear this year – I wonder if he is regretting his decision!

In any case, I started putting the hummingbird feeders out again, rotating them as they freeze! I also have a heater in the birdbath so all my feathered friends have fresh water to drink – and believe it or not – splash in!
