Tree down at zoo

Snowstorm at the Zoo

We headed for the zoo today, to see how the animals are coping with the snowstorm. It was truly a winter wonderland, although a lot of animals had been brought indoors because of the cold. But the snow leopards and wolves seemed right at home in the winter weather. As we were leaving, we saw that the heavy snow and ice had cracked a large branch of a tree, and zoo workers were busy with chainsaws, cleaning up the mess. They told us that all the bits and pieces, boughs and branches, would be recycled and used in various ways around the zoo.
