We still had a inch or so of snow on the ground when todays snow broke loose.We spent the day feeding birds ,warming up the chicken coop and throwing the wood on the fire.At the end of the day we measured 7 inches of snow.Its hard to believe that the small little humming bird can make it through the cold weather.I'm so happy to be able to help these little guys eat.They would sit and sit at the feeder , eating and resting. I would stand a foot away and snap pictures.I even captured a little guy sleeping at the feeder.
