Mother Earth has been around long before you or I, before any human, before life itself. Yet us humans treat it like garbage. Like our needs are the only important ones. Stop being so vain!
Case and point: The Seattle School District have decided to cut down many terrific trees to make room for a parking lot on the Ingraham High School campus. Why not use the grassy area on the other side of the school? Sure, it's not as pretty but doesn't cost the lives of trees that have been there since before the school was built. Vain sons of bitches.
The School District has pulled all its building permits, so it can ignore environmental laws and cut down the trees. The School District is claiming to be a private property owner, with no accountability to anyone, and having the right to cut down trees, with out filing environmental checklists and then in the fall resubmit all their plans to build.
Please help fight back.

Cry babies...

Who cares!? Get out of Seattle and go hug a tree somewhere else. There's a reason they call them "renewable resources". Waah.

they're trees. if you really love them that much, marry one. or go plant a few. I'm not going to waste my time trying to save trees. get a life.

There are millions of trees in this state. Go find another to hug.

Come to my house and complain about the trees I cut down in my yard. I'd love an excuse to kick you in the backside...

Trees keep all of us alive so we can argue over trees! The grassy lawn North of the Trees, doesn't support any wildlife except weeds, and perhaps worms, but the district sprays it frequently so I wouldn't count on the worms.

"Kills"? There's some careful word loading. They're trees. If these are cut down more can be planted elsewhere. School planning is more important than this. (BTW it's "Case in point".)

Trees are renewable resource, None of these trees were old growth so at some time they were cut down before. How many trees were removed to build your house? (not only for footprint, but also in the construction of it)

log earth first well get the other planets later.you should not have any paper products in your house either renewable resource

The 68 trees that the Seattle School District is trying to cut down at Ingraham High School are over 75 years old and over 100 feet tall. The tree cutting is on hold while the Project is being reviewed by the City of Seattle's DPD.

If they use the grassy area on the other side of the school many creatures would be disturbed. Rabbits, moles, mice, and birds rely on the grassy area for either food or homes. What is apparent is that every decision has an up side and a down side.
