About Scott Carty
Host – The Buzz
Away from the studio, I’m a busy family man who adores my two kids and my wife, Kerry, who is a professional kids and family photographer.
I’m very active outdoors – running, cycling, snowshoeing, kayaking, exploring the mountains and spending time in the woods where I grew up on Whidbey Island. I love local getaways and long-distance trips to New York, London, L.A., Tokyo and my self-proclaimed home-away-from-home of Hawaii.
I’m incredibly handy and have personally remodeled homes; I love to cook; and I love toasting to friends, family and health with local wines, beers, spirits and culinary experiences.
And, oh yeah, I watch A LOT of TV, listen to A LOT of music and spend A LOT of time on the Internet.

Sunrise Seattle Host
Seattle is my hometown. The Northwest is my playground. I've truly become a product of my environment. Is there a better venue for me then to share it with you than here on "Sunrise Seattle"? Now include the wonderful smile and talent of Elisa Jaffe and you give me an OMG challenge of lifetime to create something that has never been done before. Something on radio that leaves you feeling better for where you live, who you are, and where you are in life.
My roots of Queen Anne High, Edgewater Hotel, Lake Union Air, then to hit the radio road that moved me to Colfax, Shelton, Spokane and back to Seattle. Youngest of seven I am, Dad was a test pilot and flight training at Boeing (following his PBY being shot down in WWll), Mom created one of Seattle's first women consignment shops (Mary's Pop'Ins).
My wonder years were Hydroplanes, JP Patches (I emcee'd his last public performance as I am the only Seattle kid that never made it on his show), Nightmare Theater, Bobo, and Namu. The Worlds Fair (Seattle and Spokane), Dags, Dicks, and Black Angus (Elliott Ave). Lets not forget the music of Merilee Rush, Paul Revere and The Raiders, The Kingsmen, The Sonics, Fabulous Wailers, Heart, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, REM, and Jimi! Yes, there is a story about The Ventures and I too! The Seattle Sea Gals, Deadliest Catch. Lake Chelan, Crystal Mt, Potholes and Mt Rainier. Two "First Place" awards in Opening Day of Boating Parade and I was a 5 year veteran with the Seafair Pirates.
Now you’re getting a taste of "Sunrise Seattle". Grab your cup and Elisa and I will meet you for a smile every weekday on 570 KVI.

About Jennifer Austin
Executive Producer, Sunrise Seattle
Good things have a tendency to come round again. So it is with my career. I’m delighted to be back in radio after a long sojourn in TV, producing investigative reports and talk shows.
I started my broadcast career right here in Seattle radio, and loved the medium because it’s so intimate and immediate. It’s just so dang fun! I’m especially excited about the upbeat, positive nature of Sunrise Seattle. It makes me feel good!
Not being an early riser by nature, spicy Chai tea, vitamin D and Diet Pepsi power my morning drive. I’m also a sucker for dark chocolate, quirky comedy, smart heist movies, classic English novels and cute baby animal bloopers on YouTube. Born and raised in Washington (Go Dawgs!), I revel in the great outdoors: skiing, sailing, scuba diving, hiking and camping are favorite pastimes.
But, the best thing in my world, is my family – especially my very patient husband and our two, mostly charming children.
Please let me know if you have a suggestion for the show…something you’d like to hear about...we welcome your ideas and comments!

About Elisa Jaffe
Sunrise Seattle Host
I’ve lived half my life in Seattle and still don’t carry an umbrella. Between gardening in the rain and
years of covering emotional stories for television, I should have purchased stock in waterproof mascara.
My broadcast career launched during journalism school at University of Missouri-Columbia. Yup, I’m a Tiger not a Dawg or Cougar (though my fiancé is 3 years younger). I worked at an NPR station and dabbled in dj’ing before devoting the next two decades to TV news and talk shows. I’ve interviewed everyone from Barack Obama to Jon Bon Jovi, Simon Cowell to Lauren Bacall, champion skaters, cold-blooded killers, best-selling authors, and everyday people. Everyone’s got a compelling personal story and I love bringing it out. That’s why I’m so excited to return to talk.
I’m a single mother of a unique red-headed, sushi-loving, metal-music playing, zen-living teenager. And we are thrilled to soon add 3 more grown kids, their dad, and a few more cats, fish, and dogs to our family. My brother lives with us too. When I’m not doing dishes, picking up dirty towels, or mopping wet Schnoodle prints off the floor, I enjoy beading jewelry, watching movies, riding my scooter, giggling with girlfriends, spoiling my son and man with new dishes, and lounging with the Sunday paper, a soy latte, and scented candles in every room.
When I anchored KOMO TV’s first hour-long morning newscast, I loved being as much a part of people’s morning routines as their cup of coffee. Now I get to share sass and sunshine on smart radio and don’t need to wear HD-TV makeup to do it.

About Brittney Perreault
Technical Director – Sunrise Seattle with Elisa and Mark
I’ve been a Seattle area resident my whole life, with exception of when I attended WSU, GO COUGS!
My radio journey began in 2006 as a citizen journalist and co-host at a community radio station.
Good thing I’m a morning person because surprisingly, I don’t drink caffeine. When I’m not at work I enjoy painting, wine tasting, and spending time with friends and family.
I’m passionate about my local community, and very devoted to volunteering and spreading awareness about homelessness. Specifically I enjoy working with Mary’s Place a local non-profit.
To me, radio is the perfect canvas to be creative and challenge yourself. Plus, you can’t beat the opportunity to be a part of a show that listeners can appreciate, engage in, and relate to.
That’s why I love it!
