Weekday Mornings on KVI

Kirby Wilbur has been our morning drive host since 1993 when he started at nights and took over the morning show on January 1, 1995.

He was born in Washington DC, but grew up in Seattle, graduating from Queen Anne High School and the University of Washington with a BA in History. He worked as real estate appraiser and started his own company, Liberty Consultants, in 1985.

Kirby has been involved in politics since high school and has held a number of leadership positions, including state Young Republican Chairman, Platform Chairman and Convention Chairman for the state Republican Party, and has served as a delegate to three national GOP conventions.

Kirby is currently a life member of the National Rifle Association and the International Churchill Society, and serves on the Board of Directors for Young America's Foundation, the American Conservative Union and the Second Amendment Foundation.

He is listed by Talker's Magazine as one of the 100 top talk show hosts in the country.

Kirby is married to Trina, and has been since 1980. They have two sons, Nathan and Adam, and live in Duvall. His heroes are Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher and Winston Churchill, along with the Founding Fathers. In his spare time, he enjoys his family, reading, a good cigar, fireworks on the Fourth of July and recreational shooting. His preferred caliber is .45.
