9:00-10:00 Richard Pope

Richard Pope was viewed as a political gadfly in his run against Jane Hague for her King County Council seat, but after a DUI arrest by the incumbent, and other, shall we call them blemishes, discovered by Pope, many are giving his candidacy a second look. Richard Pope joined us and took some sharp criticism from both John and Ken.

10:00-11:00 Slade on Prop 1

Slade Gorton has come out in favor of Prop 1, the roads and transit package. Which makes for some interesting bedfellows...Carlson is siding with Ron Sims in opposing the measure and Schram is still undecided. Slade Gorton joined us to make the case for Prop 1.

11:00-Noon Drop Outs

A study has identified "Drop Out Factories" in our area. Schools that have less than 60% of the freshman class graduate after 4 years. We opened the phones up to people who dropped out of high school and asked them how it turned out and would they let their kids drop out.
