It was almost a year ago, when foreign men were pictured acting oddly on a Seattle Ferry. What the men were doing no one quite knew, and there was a political flap when the Seattle PI wouldn't print the photos of the men. Looking back John was happy about the way things went down.

Should teachers be paid on merit? They had a chance, when Washington State was award a 13 Million dollar grant by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. John was stymied, and thoroughly not surprised by the result. Joining the show, explaining the Teacher's side was Mary Lindquist
