Former St. Attorney General and Republican nominee for governor, Rob McKenna, announced today that he will not try again to run for governor. McKenna left the door open for other elective office during the interview with KVI host Kirby Wilbur. McKenna also announced a new website, www.smartergovernmentwa.org , which will be a forum for political ideas and viewpoints to create more effective and responsive government across Washington. McKenna told KVI during the interview that he’s heard from too many government employees who have ideas for improving government and those ideas need a greater voice to benefit statewide taxpayers.
