Restaurant tacks on ‘minimum wage’ fee to each customer’s bill to illustrate higher labor costs

John Carlson tackles the story of a Minnesota restaurant that has instituted a $0.35 ‘minimum wage’ fee on each customer receipt because of a $0.75 increase to the state minimum wage. Will Seattle and/or SeaTac restaurants start doing something similar to show patrons how the increased labor cost affects their meal tab when their respective wage increases are going up $5.68??
