Seattle’s South Park Bridge was closed in 2010 because it was so old and decrepit that it was unsafe for the extensive amount of car and truck traffic it handles every day. John Carlson examines the re-opening ceremony and the media blitz by King County Executive Dow Constantine who is celebrating the re-opening after he served for several years on the King County Council which neglected the bridge for maintenance and repairs in the first place which led to its closing 4 years ago.
