KVI Exclusive: Gov. Inslee cancels WSP protection for state grain inspectors amid hostile labor union lockout

KVI’s Lars Larson, in for John Carlson, interviews a Washington State Dept. of Agriculture spokesman who confirms that Gov. Inslee has halted police protection for state grain inspectors at the Port of Vancouver. Without state inspections, grain shippers can’t move their freight onto ships for export to Asian countries. The decision by Gov. Inslee helps the powerful ILWU labor union which has been locked out after failed contract talks with Grain Shippers International.
