Former British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, passed away at 87 on Monday April 8th. Host Kirby Wilbur, sitting in for John Carlson, opened and closed the show by speaking about his personal encounter with Margaret Thatcher and her legacy as a leader and politician. Please check the 570 KVI Facebook page for a link to a tremendous Parilament debate between Thatcher and a Labour (liberal) Party leader in 1990 discussing their competing political philosophies. It provides a great example of her charisma and political intellect in a spontaneous (albeit discussed numerous times before during her tenure) floor debate.
