In a seemingly improbable story, a college student in Alabama simply held up a sign on ESPN’s Saturday morning college football broadcast known as “Game Day” with the words “Hey Mom Send” and an enlarged graphic of his QR Code alongside the logo for the Internet currency site Bitcoin. Sure enough, people saw his sign on TV, linked it on the site Reddit and before long, people were pouring money into the student’s account. John Carlson interviews technology and  Internet policy expert and adjunct law professor at George Mason University, Jerry Brito, about how Bitcoin works and how this simply TV broadcast stunt/opportunity turned into a windfall.
