Backlash from officers over SPD plan to pass out Doritos at Hempfest
To kick off day two of Seattle Hempfest, the Seattle Police Department handed out 1000 bags of Nachos Cheese Doritos with an informational label stuck to each bag. With the legalization of marijuana in Washington, Seattle police tried a new tactic at the weekend Hempfest gathering in Myrtle Edwards Park. However, some SPD officers voiced their dismay with the plan to pass out small bags of Doritos chips along with the message about the legalities of marijuana after the I-502 passage.
