Garden Expert and Author Marianne Binetti joins Smart Talk 570’s Sunrise Seattle morning show every Thursday at 8:20 a.m.to help KVI listeners with their gardening questions. Call or email to ask Binetti a question.

Binetti graduated summa cum laude from Washington State University with a degree in Horticulture and is the author or co-author of more than a dozen books about gardening including the best seller  "Easy Answers for Great Gardens" from Seattle's Sasquach Press.

Her newest book "Vegetable Gardening for Washington and Oregon" will be released this spring. Her syndicated column has received national awards for excellence in journalism and runs in 10 newspapers each week including the (Tacoma) News Tribune, The Olympian, Enumclaw Courier Herald, and the Maple Valley News among others. You may also recognize her from regular guest TV appearances on HGTV and The Discovery Channel or as a speaker at local home shows, nurseries and garden clubs.

Binetti and her husband, Joe, live on two acres near Enumclaw, and now that their three children are adults, they lead garden-themed adventure trips all over the world. In 2012, they'll be taking groups to Hawaii, Oregon, Russia, Italy and Belgium.
